1815. Jean Valjean sort du bagne, brisé, rejeté de tous. Errant sans but, il trouve refuge chez un homme d’Église, sa sœur et leur servante. Face à cette main tendue, Jean Valjean vacille et, dans cette nuit suspendue, devra choisir qui il veut devenir.
